Another Strong Weekend for Rygersdal Football Club

It was another action-packed weekend for Rygersdal Football Club, with our junior and senior teams flying the flag across Cape Town.

From our youngest players taking on tough opposition to our senior sides competing in league and cup football, the weekend was packed with commitment, character and some outstanding performances.

Juniors Continue to Impress

Our junior section was once again in action across the city, producing some excellent football and plenty of memorable moments.

Highlights included:

• U12B producing a superb 9-2 victory over CT Spurs.
• U14B securing a strong 3-1 win against CT Spurs.
• U16B keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 victory.
• U16C delivering one of the performances of the weekend with an emphatic 5-0 win over Fish Hoek.
• Our U14 Girls continuing their outstanding season with a dominant 6-0 victory over Meadowridge.

There were also valuable lessons in closely contested matches against FC Kapstadt and Tramway, with every player continuing to develop week after week.

A huge thank you goes to every parent and grandparent who spent their weekend on the road supporting our young footballers. Junior football simply doesn't happen without you.

Senior Teams Deliver

Our senior section also enjoyed a memorable weekend, highlighted by an outstanding cup performance.

The First Team may have narrowly lost 4-3 to Durbanville in the league, but responded in spectacular fashion by booking their place in the next round of the knockout competition with a 7-1 victory over Saxon Rovers.

Elsewhere:

• 4th Team defeated Norway Parks 2-0.
• Over 40s claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win over Bellville City.
• Our WRPL Ladies stole the headlines with an incredible 10-0 victory over Bazi Abantu.

Week after week, our players continue to represent the badge with pride, determination and sportsmanship.
